Mrs. Wilma Whitley Peters Shourek, age 90, formerly of Fayette, passed away February 6, 2026 in Granbury, TX.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 16, 2026 at 2-P.M. from Sand Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1-2 P.M. at the church. Chris Sides will officiate.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Shourek, son: Marion Duane "Bubba" Peters, sister: Elease Hyatt, and parents: Billy and Eardil Whitley.
Survivors include her son: Chris Peters (Daphne) of Granbury, TX, daughter-in-law: Judy Peters of Fayette, sister: Patricia Watts (Raymond) of Fayette, brothers: Robert and Donald Whitley, both of Fayette, grandchildren: Dustin Peters (Shannon), Whitley Peters (Stephanie), Kim Thrower (Chris), MaKelle Akin, Robert Dillion, Cole Peters, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Dustin Peters, Brent Whitley, Wayne Nelson, Dale Whitley, and Whitley Peters.
