Walter McKinney

Mr. Walter "Buddy" McKinney, age 81 of Fayette, passed away March 9, 2026 at DCH Regional Center.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, 2026 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. Dr. Scott Davis and Bro. Tommy Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 12-2 P.M. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter H. McKinney, Sr. and Minnie Torres McKinney, and two sisters: Winona McKinney and Olga Murdock.

Survivors include his wife: Joan McKinney of Fayette, two daughters: Tonya Ingle of Fayette and Tracy Hollingsworth (Donny) of Fayette, 4 grandchildren: Sam, Nick and Tom Hollingsworth, Whitney Schryer, and 2 great-grandchildren: Penelope Schryer and Naomi Hollingsworth.

Pallbearers will be: Sam Hollingsworth, Nick Hollingsworth, Tom Hollingsworth, Donny Hollingsworth,  Ryan Phillips, Brad Kennedy and Stephen Fulmer.
