Vista Montgomery

Mrs. Vista Montgomery, age 88 of Northport, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Hospice of West Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11-A.M. from Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state Monday from 10-11 A.M. at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; John B. Montgomery, son; John Harry Montgomery, parents; Jim and Lucy Sanford Watson, sisters; Ora Lee Herring, Gurtie Boswell, Vadia Oswalt, Bennie Phillips, Billie Faye Freeman, brothers; Aaron , Ollie, Argie, Willie C., and Raymond.

Survivors include two sons; Larry B. Montgomery (Shelia), and Gregory Scott Montgomery (Amy), brother; Wymon Watson (Judy), four grandchildren; Erica Zutell (Mike), Brian Montgomery, Clay Montgomery, Cole Montgomery, four great-grandchildren, and a special family friend; Jimmy Garner (Sandy).

Honorary pallbearers are; Hospice of West Alabama, and friends and neighbors of the Phillips Chapel Community.

Active pallbearers will be; Brian Montgomery, Clay Montgomery, Cole Montgomery, Mike Zutell, Mike Anders, Ronny Anders, Mitch Freeman, and Harold Jones.
