Virginia Guy

Mrs. Virginia Guy, age 84 of Berry, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 1-P.M. from Moundville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville. The body will lie in state Thursday from 12-1 P.M. at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Webb and Velma Noble Hartley, daughter: Brenda Faye Duncan, brother: John W. "Buddy" Hartley, sisters: Mary Jarvis, Ethel Greene, Francis Jarvis, and Velma Culp, and a grandson: Johnny Douglas Guy.

Survivors include her son: James Earl Duncan of Tuscaloosa, daughter: Linda Kay Duncan of Samantha, grandchildren: Kayla Duncan Curington (Jim), Virginia Layton, Larry Layton, great-grandchildren: Brenda Malane Guy, Taylor Douglas Guy, Tristan Wayne Burnett, one great-great grandchild" Caleigha Malane Curington, and one on the way.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Curington, Taylor Douglas Guy, Shannon Burnett, Tristan Burnett, Nathan Honeycutt, and Jeff Jarvis.
