Vida Sue Griffin

Mrs. Vida Griffin, age 66 of Berry, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Graveside service will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1-P.M. from Bevan Chapel Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state Friday from 12-1 P.M. at the church. Bro. Randall Trimm will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John Henry and Louise Blackston Handley.

Survivors include her husband: Donald Griffin of Berry, two daughters: Dona Griffin Jones (Jarrod) and Dana Mae Griffin both of Berry, her grandchildren: Matthew Chance Lemley of Northport, Dawson McCoy Blackston and Aishia Meiko Haley both of Berry, her sister: Jennie Ledlow of Berry, her brothers: Henry Handley (Jan) of Jasper, Johnny Eugene Handley of Berry, and several nieces and nephews.

Vida was true angel sent from above. She will be dearly missed by many, especially by her daughters. She was one of the most kindhearted ladies who loved others and always offered a helping hand to anyone in need.

Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. Kevin Katon, Dr. Ranju Chandrashekaria Shakar, DCH Rapid Response Team, MICU3, 5 North, 5 South and 6 South.

Pallbearers will be: Henry Handley, Jeremy Ledlow, Michael Earls, Dawson McCoy Blackston, Sean Hyde, and Brandon Carroll.

The family request everyone wear a mask.
