Sue Taylor Cargile

Mrs. Sue Cargile, age 89 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 3-P.M. from Mt. Vernon Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state Sunday from 2-3 P.M. at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Warren G. Cargile, parents: Marvin and Nina Taylor, brother: Charles Taylor, sister-in-law: Sandra Taylor, sister: Ruby Atkinson, brother-in-law: Charles Atkinson, Jr., in-laws: Spencer and Dellie Cargile, niece: Sherri Cobb, nephew: Dale Taylor, Shelia Taylor, and Robert Corbett.

Survivors include her brother: Joe Taylor (Brenda), niece: Tonya Podmore (James), Taylor, Ashton and Morgan Podmore, Teresa Taylor, Wyletta Humber (Howard), Jettie Corbett, Charla Lynn (Kenneth), and Laura Chaffin (Ronnie).

Honorary pallbearers are: Members of Mt. Vernon Church, Juanita McDaniel, Joan Yearby, Carlton Benton, Alva Grimsley, and Dr. Greg Stidham.

Active pallbearers will be: Ronnie Cargile, Dale Cargile, Jimmy Fowler, Kyle Shaw, Kenneth Lynn, Taylor Podmore, Milburn Savage, and Zack Taylor.
