Steve Wilson

Mr. Steve Wilson, age 50 of Fayette, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 12-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in New Church Cemetery in Lamar County. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11-A.M. till 12-P.M. at the funeral home. 

He was preceded in death by his father: Lester Pruitt, and a sister: Pansie Pruitt.

Survivors include a son: Kenzell Wilson of Fairfield, CA, daughter: Kinesha Wilson of Yuba City, CA, mother: Rebecca Culp of Fayette, brother: Roger Wilson of Tuscaloosa, sisters: Brenda Nalls and Elvira Phillips both of Fayette, and Barbara Jean of Vernon, one granddaughter: Ja'Kaitlyn May Driver, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Steve Mccullum Wilson was born in Winfield, AL. He went to Fayette County High School, and was the youngest of five children to his parents: Rebecca Culp and the late Lester Pruitt.

Honorary pallbearers are: Rufus Culp, Johnathan Culp, and Jeremiah Culp.

Active pallbearers will be: Kenzell Wilson, Shamar Parrish, Roger Wilson, Ronald Pruitt, Jason Wilson, and Michael Kemp.
