Shirley Ann Shelton

Mrs. Shirley Shelton, age 84 of Berry, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the Fayette Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ashcraft Corner Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30-11-A.M. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dow and Inez Earnest Smith, brother: Sammy Smith, and sister: Sharon Smith.

Survivors include her husband: Jerry L. Shelton of Berry, two daughters: Melissa Shelton Davis (Shane) of Kennedy, and Linda Brasher (Mark) of Bankston, sister: Suzie Smith Cooper (Mack) of Berry, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Shirley Ann Shelton was born December 7, 1939 to Dow Smith and Inez Earnest Smith in Walker County Alabama. She graduated high school at Oakman High. She worked at Arvin Automotive for over 24 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Berry, Alabama.

Honorary pallbearer is Kyler Lay.

Pallbearers will be: Mark Brasher, Shane Davis, Jeremy Lay, Blake Lay, Neil Palmiter, and Karl Smith.
