Shirley Britnell

Mrs. Shirley Britnell, age 79 of Fayette, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Fayette Long Term Care.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Lamar Cox will officiate.

Survivors include a son: Darrell Britnell (Beverly) of Dallas-Cherryville, NC, two daughters: Cynthia Melton of Gardendale and Sondra Britnell (Scott) of Ralph, 4 grandchildren: Cody Britnell, Derek McReynolds, Nacole Stephens, Chad Caldwell, and 8 great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Mason, Holly, Autumn, Wyatt, Lily, Anna Rose, and Remmy.

She was preceded in death by her husband: I.J. Britnell, father: Vester Wyers, mother: Evelyn Wyers, sister: Nell Tyner, brother: Ricky Wyres.

Pallbearers will be: Darrell Britnell, Cody Britnell, Derek McReynolds, Scott Green, Mason Britnell, and Tommy Tyner.
