Shirley Ann Smith

Mrs. Shirley Ann Smith, age 81 of Fayette, passed away October 2, 2021 at Fayette Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tommy Smith and Bro. David Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband:Haston Ford Smith, parents: Leonard Vick and Castle Ruth Nichols Ertle, brother: Hershell Lewis, and sister: Sarah Faye Jones.

She is survived by one son: Phillip Smith (Terri) of Northport, two daughters: Deborah Edgil (Randy) of Carbon Hill, Diane Nelson (Robert) of Fayette, step-mother: Elouise Vick of Fayette, sisters: Selva Jean Shubert, Wilma Sue Hannah, Teresa Hall, Sadie Shults, Cindy Angaloff, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Brandon Smith, Jonathan Beard, Josh Cannon, and Danny Flynn.
