Shane Sanford

Mr. Shane Sanford, age 53 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 in Tuscaloosa Co.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 6-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Doug and Dot Sanford.

Survivors include two sons: Isaiah Sanford and Tucker Sanford both of Fayette, daughter: Lexie Sanford of Northport, and two brothers: Brandon Sanford (Jennifer) of Fayette, and Josh Sanford (Courtney) of Bangalore, India.

Shane Sanford was born and raised in Fayette, AL. He was a member of the Fayette County High School class of '89. He raised two sons (Isaiah and Tucker) and a daughter (Lexie). Shane owned Sanford and Son Truss Company for over 25 years. In recent years, he was employed at Bama Mill. Shane was an avid outdoorsman. He traveled the world hunting and fishing. He was a hard worker who was always willing to lend a helping hand. His big heart will be greatly missed.

Honorary pallbearer will be Bama Mill.

Active pallbearers will be: Brandon Sanford, Josh Sanford, Carter Sanford, Isaiah Sanford, Tucker Sanford, Cooper Sanford, Lance Holliman, and David Harkins.
