Ms. Sarah Wilson, age 65 of Fort Payne, passed away September 13, 2025 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 4-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bankhead Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Sarah Delores Wilson was born on October 27, 1959, in Fayette, AL to the late Henry Jr. Wilson “MH” and Charlene Johnson Wilson.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Peaceful Rest Baptist Church in Fayette, AL. Later as a teenager she became a faithful Prayer Warrior at the New Testament Holiness Church, Fayette, AL.

She moved to Fort Payne, AL during her Senior year and there she worshipped and joined Jesus Christ New Convenant Church where she remained faithful until she passed. She loved her church and her Pastor.

She was a burning fire for the Lord staying in God’s presence with much prayer, fasting and reading the word of God. She loved missions, and her passion was soul winning. She was faithful to jail ministry where many souls were saved.

She was overjoyed with going to Canada these past five years pouring out her heart and spirit for the souls on the Indian Reservations. She cried many tears of love for them.

She was moved by the Holy Ghost to go win souls in Africa.   She traveled with their mission team last year and was looking forward to going back this October 2025. She ministered in her beloved church, preaching, singing, playing the drums, and whatever she could find for her hands to do. Ministering to others was her HEART.

She was employed with Solo Electric, Fort Payne, AL until the company name changed to Emerson and moved to Rainsville, AL. She worked there for over 40 years. Her co-workers and church family were like family. They called each other, ate together, and looked out for each other. They were a major part of her family until she departed this life.

Sarah is preceded in death by her Father, Henry Jr. Wilson, “MH”, and her beloved Mother Charlene Johnson Wilson, her brothers: Carroll H. Wilson, and William Walter Wilson, Sr.  She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her brothers: Cecil Wilson (Tina) of Fayette, AL  and Larry Wilson (Norma) of Wetumpka, AL; her sisters: Mary Wilson of Indianapolis, IN, Wanda Jean (Billy) Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Evelyn (Rovanis) Branyon of Fayette, AL; her beloved hairdresser, Cheri (Kyle) Garriott; her beloved nephew, Terrance Branyon (Brandy), and a host of nieces, nephews, her beloved aunts, and uncles, loving cousins, family and friends.
