Sandra Hudson

Mrs. Sandra Tubbs Hudson, age 66 of Fayette, affectionately known as Sandy, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Fayette Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Higdon Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.

Sandy was born on November 8, 1957 to proud parents, Sam and Carolyn Tubbs. She grew up in Jasper, AL and was a 1976 graduate of Walker High School. She attended Walker College and Bevill State Community College where she received an Associate degree in Secretarial Science.

On July 18, 1981 she married the love of her life, James Edward Hudson "Jimmy". Together they lovingly raised three daughters, Stacy, Andrea, and Krystal. She was a faithful Christian and a wonderful singer. She served as song director at her church for several years.

Sandy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her favorite thing to do was talk about her grandkids. She loved to sing and some of her favorite songs were, You're Still God, There'll Be A Payday, and Thank You Lord For Your Blessing, which she sung with her daughters.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Carolyn Tubbs, her in-laws: Lee Edward and Clara Bea Hudson, and her son-in-law: Antony Brown.

She is survived by her husband: Jimmy Hudson, daughters: Stacy Price (Ritchie), Andrea Brown, Krystal McCaa (Matt), grandkids: Trent Brown, Baylee Price, Sabrina McCaa, Sarah McCaa, Sam McCaa, and Zach Brown, sisters: Vicky Meacham, Tammie McCandless, uncles: Hollis Alexander and Mike Tubbs, and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
