Ruth G. Buckner

Mrs. Ruth Buckner, age 84 of Belk, passed away January 27, 2025 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home.Bro. Lamar Cox will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Eugene "Bill" Knight and Charles Buckner, mother: Flora Gilreath, father: Clanton Gilreath, and a host of other family members.

Survivors include her son: Tim Knight (Sandy), daughter: Amy Fowler (Tommy), sister: Rosa Atkins, 4 grandchildren: Rachel Davis, Chris Knight (Austyn), Gabe Knight, Hunter Knight, 4 step-grandchildren: Dean Fowler, Justin Fowler (Amanda), Drake Fowler (Christian), Josh Fowler (Katie), and 4 great-grandchildren: Charlotte Knight, Lex, Clark, and Evelyn Fowler.

Pallbearers will be: Ethan Ellis, Danny Gilreath, Hunter Knight, Chris Knight, James Gaddy, and Gabe Knight.
