Roy Porter Obituary

Mr. Roy Porter, age 89 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Fayette Long Term Care.

A private burial will be held.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dolphus and Zettie Livingston Porter, wife: Sally Lee Mills Porter, and a son: William Porter.

Survivors include two daughters: Cindy Lootens (Mark) of Clearwater, FL, Jody Wooten (Mark) of Madison, AL, one brother: Adron Porter (Mary) of Northport, AL, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Roy was raised in New Lexington, AL. He was one of 10 children. He moved up north for employment ion the early 50's. Roy met Sally Mills in Elkhart, IN and they were married in 1952, and raised 3 children. Roy Worked in several manufacturing companies and owned a Bar and Grill in Elkhart, before retiring to Florida. Later in moved back home to Alabama. He always enjoyed boating, fishing, playing domino's, and joking around. Roy passed away from Alzheimer's at the age of 89.
