Robert Lewis "Speedy" Black

Mr. Robert Lewis "Speedy" Black age 96 of Fayette, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at Morningview Estates.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his wife and mother to his daughters: Katie L. Williamson Black, and wife: Earline Wiygul, parents: William Jefferson and Alice Gilbert Black, siblings: Sammie Lou B. White, Hubert Black, Verna B. Galloway, and Valeria B. Marshall, special nephew and niece: MacDavid Franks, and Deloris F. Thompson, and step-son: Marshall Wiygul.

Survivors include two daughters: Marilyn Madison (Nick), and Debbie Roberts (Joe) both of Fayette, four grandchildren: Jeff Roberts (Mandy) of Hoschton, GA, Kelli Olive (Ralph),  Kerin Brock (Matt), and Jill Aldridge (Skip) all of Fayette, thirteen great grandchildren: Jacob, David Thomas, and Hannah Grace Aldridge, Luke, John, and Savanna Brock, Liz, Ethan, and Owen Olive, Ivy, Ruth Ann, Josh, and Micah Roberts, three step-sons: Gary Wiygul of OR, Mike Wiygul of Birmingham, and Larry Wiygul of TN.

Honorary pallbearers are: Morningview Staff and Dr. Fred Yerby and Satff.

Pallbearers will be his grandson and  great grandsons.
