Mr. Rickey Wright, age 66 of Fayette, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at his residence.
Rick was a person you could really like. That was him; a very likeable person. Someone you could feel comfortable around. He had multitudes of friends because every time he met someone new, he made them a friend. He also liked to help people and did so countless times. He probably would give the shirt off his back for anybody! His talents such as a shade tree or grease monkey mechanic, and welder, paled in comparison to him being a hilarious comic. Being the caboose of six children, you know he would have a sense of humor. That was evident of all the stories he would tell, complete with precise and elaborate sound effects which would make all these stories come to life. Then his unmistakable "Rickey laugh" was the icing on the cake! I can just hear it now, Rick telling Saint Peter one of his most famous stories and laughing that laugh as he walked through those Pearly Gates.
