Rebekah "Becky" Sarah Medders

Rebekah "Becky" Sarah Medders, age 81 of the Boley Community, was born January 18, 1944. She passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Boley Church of the Nazarene.Burial will follow in Boley Community Cemetery.Chaplin David Bolin and Rev. Ronnie Earnest will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-3 P.M. at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Barry Medders, parents: Mr. O.R. "Pete" Smith and Minnie Alma Campbell Smith, her son: Charles Douglas Kumpu, 8 sisters and 2 brothers.

Survivors include her daughter: Monica Logsdon (Jaryl), grandson: Noah Logsdon, nieces, nephews,and cousins.

Becky retired from Alcon Laboratories in Houston, TX. She moved home to Berry, AL in May of 2022. She was a wonderful devoted Christian, strong prayer warrior, devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family and she loved the Lord. She has longed for her Heavenly home. She will be greatly missed, but resting in the arms of Jesus.

Pallbearers will be: Ray Guthrie, Charles Allen Guthrie, Johnny Earnest, Jaryl Logsdon, Garry Medders, and Hunter Medders.
