Patricia Ann Cabiness

Mrs. Patricia Cabiness, age 77 of Tuscaloosa, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Heritage Healthcare and Rehab.

Graveside service will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11-A.M. from El Bethel (Buncomb) Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Billy and Delilah Hardin Gwin, and her husband: Nelson Cabiness.

After graduating from the University of Alabama, Patricia worked as a bookkeeper for several years. She later worked for several years with the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education. After retiring she worked at Piggly Wiggly in Gordo. In the later years of her life, she served as a pastors wife with her husband of 43 years, Rev. Nelson Cabiness. Patricia was a gentle soul who smiled easily and often. She loved her life as a ministers wife and was dedicated to spreading the gospel and ministering to others. After the death of her husband, life long friends Emily and Buddy Tucker and Beth Sims helped care for her. She spent the last of her days at Heritage Healthcare and Rehab. She longed to meet Jesus and to be reunited with her husband and family. She was loved and will be missed, but we rejoice that she is in Heaven and her greates wish has been fulfilled. 

Honorary pallbearers are the Nursing Staff at Heritage Healthcare and Rehab, especially Melissa, Jessica, and Issac.
