Pat Kirkland

Pat Holbrook Kirkland, age 86, of Dunlap, TN, formerly of Fayette County, AL, passed away
Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Dunlap, TN.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 2-P.M. at Nelson Funeral
Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cleveland Church of Christ cemetery. The family will
receive friends from 1:30-2 P.M. on Thursday. Bro. Walter Graham will officiate.
Pat graduated from Berry High School. He was also a graduate of Alabama Christian
College (now Faulkner University). Shortly after graduation, he became a full time minister
for Churches of Christ in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee until he retired. He was a good
and kindhearted man who touched many lives in a positive way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Eddie Violet Holbrook Kirkland, and two
brothers, Charles Kirkland and Robert Kirkland.
Survivors include one sister: Juanita Meredith of Scottsboro, AL, Nieces: Wanda Sanders
(Joe) of Fayette, AL, Mary Hodge (Dennis) of Scottsboro, AL, Sheila Boswell of Anniston,
AL and Debbie Lowe of Anniston, AL Nephew: Thomas Meredith (Rebecca) of Guntersville,
AL Great nieces: Alana Zamora (Nic) and Katey Boswell. Great nephews: Jacob Meredith
(Savannah), Russell Meredith, Taylor Boswell, and Ryan Boswell.
