Nellie Stowe

Mrs. Nellie Stowe, age 90 of Fayette, passed away November 29, 2023 at Fayette Medical Center.

Nellie Gray Stowe was born October 23, 1933 to the late Pearlie Aline and Alonzo Lewis Harrington. The Lord called Nellie home on November 29th, 2023.
    She confessed Christ at an early age. She attended Lamar County Training School in Lamar County, Alabama. Although she is no longer with us, we will remember her smile, laugh and her wise words of encouragement. She was an incredible loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great- great grandmother, sister and aunt.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, son: William Bankhead,  and two grandchildren: Donte Bankhead and Eria Bankhead.
    She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Barbara Ann Wright of Sulligent, Alabama, Martha Jean Jones of Gary, Indiana, Mulinda Harrington of Fayette, Alabama. She also has 15 grandchildren and a host of great-grand children,  great - great -grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves behind a loving group of special friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 12-noon from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11-A.M. till 12-noon at the funeral home.
