Nancy Paulette Jones

Mrs. Paulette Jones, age 78 of Fayette, passed away October 15, 2023 at Fayette Long Term Care.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 4-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. Bro. Wil Corbett and Rabbi Ron Aaronson will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Survivors include her son: Robbie Gills (Donita) of Fayette, brother: Fred Allan Edwards of Texas, 4 grandchildren: Meredith Gills Stocks (Max), Logan Gills, Donta Sexton (Hunter), Dustin Simmons (Meagan), and 4 great-grandchildren: Evan Sexton, Cohen Sexton, Dawson Tingle, and Chloe Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Louis Dowd and Alice Lucille Edwards, brothers: Billy, Sydney, Douglas, Tommy, and Charlie, sisters: Dorothy and Virginia "Dolly" Aaronson.

Paulette was a hard working mother and made sure her son was taken care of. She had her ways, but she loved her family more than anything in the world. On most days she thought the sun rose and set on her grandchildren. She had a huge heart when it came to her family and animals. Her cat and dog were her favorite children. Of course we all knew that Dawson was her favorite baby. But most importantly she loved the Lord with all her being. She was saved one year ago when her sister passed away.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Employees of Fayette Long Term Care.

Active pallbearers will be: Logan Gills, Dustin Simmons, Hunter Sexton, Evan Sexton, Max Stocks, and Casey Crawford.
