Maurice Sanford

Mr. Maurice Sanford, age 92 of Hampton Cove, AL, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 at 4-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 3-4 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Steve Grubbs will officiate.

He is survived by wife: Augusta Frances Chism Sanford, nephews: James Sanford Cresswell (Cindy), Richard Arnold Cresswell (Diane), Wallace Edgar Cresswell, II (Amy), Dennis Clyne Potter (Kay), Gary Michael Sanford, Garland Sanford Brock (Tammy), nieces:  Sherry Aniece Potter Chesnutt (Bobby), Karen Ann Sanford, numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death his father:  C. Olen Sanford, mother:  Georgie Lillian Romans Sanford, brother:  Cecil William Sanford (Elizabeth), sisters:  Olene Sanford Cresswell (Edgar Farr), Mary Helen Sanford Potter (Bill) ,Naomi Sanford Brock Wilson (Jack), Niece:  Nancy Lynn Cresswell.

Pallbearers will be: Garland Brock, Jim Cresswell, Richard Cresswell, Rodney Grubbs, Dr. Bob Grubbs, and Darrell Stromberg.
