Mattie Smith

Mrs. Mattie Smith, age 95 of Fayette, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Fayette Long Term Care.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 at 3-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 2-3 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro Jerry Ray will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Rube and Ola McDonald Nichols, husband: Hezzie Smith, and three sisters: Louise Price, Charlene Miller, and Roenia Price.

Survivors include a nephew: Jesse Price (Gena) of Fayette, nieces: Cindy Ray (Jerry) of Fayette, and Tenna Davis (Kenneth) of Lynn, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Pallbearers will be: Andy Howton, Beau Brantley, Kooper Brantley, Parker Ray, Randall Price, and Jordan Price.
