Luzette Lombard

Mrs. Luzette Lombard, age 91 of Fayette, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at Fayette Long Term Care. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2026 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ethelsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home. 

She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. John Lombard, parents: Parker and Hellon Ponds, brother: Glen Ponds, sister: Virginia Byars brother-in-law: Richard Byars, Hattie Dobbins brother-in-law: Ray Dobbins, nephew: Darin McGahey, and Micky Dobbins, one son: Morris Lombard, granddaughter: Stephanie Lombard, grandson: David Lombard, sisters-in-law: Frances Ponds, Carolyn Ponds, and brother-in-law: Allen McGahey. 

Survivors include brothers: Billy Ponds, Daniel Ponds, Ricky Ponds (Suzette), sister: Peggy Jaynes, sons: John A. Lombard, Jr., Gayle Lombard (Joan), Barry Lombard (Karen), Angie Lombard, Wayne Lombard (Sharon),  ten granddaughters, five grandsons, several great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Honorary pallbearers are the Staff and Nurses of Fayette Long Term Care. 

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
