Lorraine Whitley

Lorraine T Whitley was born on 12 28 35. She passed from this life to her heavenly home on 10 12 2025.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 2-P.M. from Sand Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 P.M. at the church. 

She is survived by her children Susan (Wayne)Nelson, Dale (Fatima) Whitley, and Karen (Jimmy) Bozeman. She had four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. She was a much loved mother and grandmother to others. She loved and was loved by a host of nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 55 years, Terry D Whitley, her parents, Carver and Katherine Tucker, and her brother Richard D. Tucker.

She was employed for over 30 years by First National Bank, which evolved into Regions Bank.
She and her husband raised their children in a Christian home. She loved her family and church family. She prayed for them daily. She was very knowledgeable of the Bible.
She loved to read and enjoyed growing vegetables and trees in her later years. Her main concern was leading the children in her life and the people in her life to Jesus. She was an active member of Sand Springs Baptist Church for 67 years.

Honorary pallbearers are: Jack Purser, Benji Purser, Carver Watkins, Arthur Racey, and Kyler Whitley. 

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Bozeman, Issac Bozeman, Tom Whitley, Scott Cribb, Zachary Whitley, and Bobby Crowell.
