Loretta Ann Dodson

Mrs. Loretta Ann Dodson, age 91 of Fayette, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Marion and Roda Box Dobbins, husband: James Dodson, brothers: Jay Dobbins, Herbert Dobbins, and Bobby Dobbins, sisters: Juanita Letson, Evelyn Keeton, and Joyce Letson. 

Survivors include her three sons: Jimmy Wayne Dodson (Angela) of Crane Hill, Rex Dodson (Lynne) of Carbon Hill, and Marion Dodson of Fayette, and one sister: Brenda Tittle (Charles) of TX, five grandchildren: Ashley Dodson Morris (Russell), Scott Dodson, Jessica Pratt, Drew Dodson, and Matt Dodson (Meagan), and five great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be: Matt Dodson, Marion Dodson, Rex Dodson, Jimmy Wayne Dodson, Randy Owens, and Brad Porter.
