Lisa Jo Nelson

Miss Lisa Jo "Sis" Nelson, age 61 of Berry, our Angel on Earth, got her heavenly wings on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home. Chaplain Leonard Rigsby, Bro. Stan Willis, and sister Sheena Davis will officiate.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bobby Joe and Bettie Nelson, her grandparents Jack and Ruth Nelson and James and Vera Bowen.

She is survived by her brother Tim Nelson (Samantha), her sister Sheena Nelson Davis (Ken), nephews Trace Nelson, Skylar Clark (Heather), and her niece Sophie Grace Nelson.

She was our light and joy while she was here and now she will be with our precious mom and dad. She loved to sing and go to church. She also loved riding the gator with her dad; he would ride with her until she'd fall asleep on his shoulder. She is healed now and will be missed terribly. We love you "sis", your sister and baby brother.

Special thanks to her sitter of 3 years, Jammee Sasser and Tonya Robertson for the last 2 months. And to my husband, Ken for his patients on helping us take care of her.
