Linda Engle

Mrs. Linda Ann Williamson Engle, age 90 of Fayette, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Fayette Long Term Care.

Graveside service will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 at 1-P.M. from Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 11-A.M. till 12-P.M. at Nelson Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents: William P. and Mamie Collins Williamson, husband: George E. Engle, brothers: William Tyrus Williamson, and Thomas Lloyd Williamson and sister: Rachel Loudene W. Caccamo.

Survivors include two sons: Randy Engle  (Wes) of Goodlettsville, TN, and Billy Engle (Carol) of Helena, AL, and two grandchildren: Allen Engle and Sarah Engle.

Linda was born in Fayette, Alabama and a lifelong resident. She graduated from Jefferson-Hillman Hospital School of Nursing (now UAB) and spent most of her career as an RN at Fayette Medical Center. She loved gardening, traveling with her nurse friends, and thrift shopping. She was a member of Fayette First Baptist Church and Upper Room Sunday School Class.

Honorary pallbearers are: Fayette Long Term Care staff and nurses, staff and residents of Morningview Assisted Living.
