Leona Irene King

Mrs. Leona Irene King, age 91 of Tuscaloosa, passed away September 8, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Leona and her husband Dale lived in Knoxville, TN for 40 years. They had just moved to Tuscaloosa to The Crossings Assisted Living on August 14, 2025.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home. Brad King will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Emma Crawhorn, and daughter: Linda King Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 75 years: Dale King, son: Larry King (Carol), grandsons: Bradley King (Deidre), Dustin King (Karenda), Dylan Smith (Abby Robinson), son-in-law: Roger Smith, great-grandchildren: Kendall King, Selah King, Josiah King, Brayden King, and Bryleigh King.
