Kenny Eugene Burkett

Mr. Kenny Eugene Burkett, age 71 of Carbon Hill, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his residence.

Coal miner for 31 years, he rode horses all his healthy part of his life, and especially loved to run barrels. He loved to play his guitar and sing. He was always laughing and telling old stories of things he had done if someone would come see him, he wasn't able to get out much. He will truly be missed and he loved everyone. 

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Denise Tucker Burkett, and a son, Chad Burkett whom he dearly loved and cherished; mother-in-law, Bernice Stovall Tucker; sisters-in-law, Diane Reece (Donnie), and Debbie Wideman (Gerald); nieces, Kim Legore (Gary), and Krista Garris; great nephews, Colin and Garris Legore; along with several cousins, aunts and uncles he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harchel Burkett; mother, Lucy Campbell Burkett; and sister, Lynda Burkett Garris.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11-A.M. from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Billy Cagle will officiate.
