June McGahey

Mrs. June G. McGahey,age 94 of Fayette, passed away December 29,2021 at her residence. She was born in Jasper Al. on May 17,1927. She graduated from Walker County High of Jasper. She married Charles B. McGahey, Jr. and they where married for 75 years. They had two daughters, Genella Oswalt and Judy Deer. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Fayette ,Al.

June resided in Fayette, Al. for 66 years She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Samuel and Gena Turner, two sisters: Doris Smith, Miriam Hill.

June is survived by her husband of 75 years: Charles B. McGahey of Fayette, two daughters: Genella (Doaks) Oswalt, of Fayette, Judy (Jewell) Deer of McComb, Ms., grandchildren: Louis (Melanie) Oswalt, Amy (Grady) DeLoach, Jonathan (Teresa) Howell, Matthew Howell, and David Howell, great-grandchildren: Casey (Kali) DeLoach, Cody DeLoach, Katie Oswalt, Lizzie Oswalt, Carter Howell, Tristan Howell, and Emory Rose Howell.

The family will hold a private service.
