Joyce Moore Taylor

Mrs. Joyce Moore Taylor, age 92 of Kennedy, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 at 3-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Rick Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 1-3 P.M. at the funeral home.

Survivors include one son: Alfred Taylor (Kathy) of Kennedy, two daughters: Shelby Foxhall (Jimmy) of Millport and Wanda Bryant (Steve) of Northport, 7 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Eulie J. Taylor, parents: Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Moore, five brothers, and two sisters.

Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was very proud of her family and all the accomplishments they made as business owners; TayCo Logging, Bryant Drywall, Fayette City Glass, Foxhall Auto Repair, and Dollar Trucking. She loved her church family and the fellowship she had with them. She was Granny Taylor to so many young people that knew her. To know her was to love her.A special thanks to great-granddaughter Casey Stripling who has been her personal care giver for the past two years.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Amedisys Hospice of Hamilton, and members of Cody Church of God.

Active pallbearers will be: Tim Stripling, Russell Bryant, D.J. Dollar, Hunter Stripling, Kyle Stripling, and Evan Taylor.
