Joe R. Smith, III. Was born on April 12, 1992, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father Joe R. Smith, Jr.;  Grandfathers – Joe R. Smith, Sr. and Felix Robinson; Grandmothers: Leona Robinson and Ella Mae Pruitt; Bonus Mother-Karla Quesenberry.
He is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Amanda Catherine Smith; Mother Virginia Smith, Bonus Mom Delores Davis Smith; Children Karter Smith, Jaylen Smith, Trason Smith and Alivia Smith; Siblings: Henry (Batrina) Robinson, Juanizetta (Antonio) Dover, Omar Smith. Kiara Smith. Samira Smith, and Tony McNair; Bonus Brothers: Alex (Stephanie) Quesenberry and Caleb (Mariah) Hayes; Mother-In-Law Mary (Paul) Wilson; Father-In-Law Joel (Michelle) Ham; Brother-In-Law William (Brooke) Ham; Grandmother Sandra Smith; God mother Diana Leigh Bordelon; Uncles: Robert Adams, James Robinson, and Martin Smith; Aunts: Sarah (Dennis) Williams, Jackie (James) Porter, Pamela Smith, Donna (Earl) Smith Jones, Robyn Smith, Rachel Smith and Catrina Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and loved ones,

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 12-P.M. from Central Church. Burial will follow in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10-A.M. till 12-P.M. at the church.
