Joe D Hollingsworth

Mr. Joe D. Hollingsworth, age 75 of Fayette, passed away January 21, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 2-P.M.from Hopewell Church, Hwy 171 North. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 P.M. at the church.

Joe was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church and worked for 31 years at Georgia Pacific.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilburn and Bonnie Hollingsworth,one brother: Bobby Hollingsworth, and two sisters: Mary Grace Tucker and Margaret Henderson.

Survivors include his wife and best friend for 54 years: Lillian Hollingworth, son: Jeff Hollingsworth, two daughters: Christy Shelton (Albert) and Brandy Wright (Brian), four grandsons: Chase Foster, Logan Wright, Cole Foster and Dalton Wright, brothers: Dale Hollingsworth (Jackie), Billy Hollingsworth (Jo Ann), Randy Holllingsworth, and Jacky Hollingsworth (Cindy), and sisters: Kay Rengers (Bill), Kathy Glover (David), and Vicki Holmes.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Chase Foster, Logan Wright, Cole Foster, Dalton Wright, Sammy Grimes, Max Sullivan, Ronnie Lawrence, James Gilpin, Lamar Harris, Joe Black, and David Glover.

Active pallbearers will be: Scotty Black, Casey Black, Bunky Hayes, Joe Smith, and Tony Baumgartner.
