Joe Edgil

Mr. Joe Edgil, age 58 of Eldridge, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years: Libby Egdil, daughters: Nicole Simpson, Valaska Edgil, step-daughter: Brooke Edgil, brothers: Mark Edgil (Donna), Gene Edgil (Nancy), six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and expecting two. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Hilda Edgil, brother: Ricky Edgil, step-son: Billy Dickinson, nephew: Jason Edgil, Mr. and Mrs. James Bervin Edgil, and Mr. and Mrs. John Hilton Collins.

Joe was born in Winfield to Paul and Hilda Edgil, he worked at Fayette and Winfield Cotton Mills for years and also drove a log truck for Atlaco Trucking.

Pallbearers will be: Elyjah Simpson, Jason Smith, Nickolas Smith, Trent Upton, Rodney Prescott, and Jacky Bridgemon.
