Joan Hudson

Mrs. Joan Hudson, age 72 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at her residence. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 2025 at 6-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Neal Fowler and Coach Danny Raines will officiate. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Luevean Hudson, brother: Ricky Hudson, sister: Sherry Underwood, nephews: Jeremy Turner, Elijah Hudson, niece: Brianna Dunn, and Misty Hartley.

Survivors include her daughters: Danyell Hudson and Sherry Frost (Jeremy Stough), brothers: Phil Hudson (Gayle), Gary Hudson (Cathy), Wayne Hudson (Gina), and Jerome Hudson (Sonia), sister: Debbie Tidwell (Gary), grandchildren: Jordan Roberts (Jackie), Morgan Roberts (Hanna), and Kyle Frost (Lexi), great-grandchildren: Jordan Driver, Christian Burnett, Parker Dodd, Will Fisher, and Holden Frost, brother-in-law: Wade Underwood, and Patricia Hudson, bonus children: Dr. Michael Strickland, Angie Underwood, April Parker and a special host of nieces and nephews. 

Joan graduated from Fayette County High School in 1972. She was employed by Lanier Clothing until 1999 and then she was employed by Fayette Cotton Mill. Joan was the happiest when she was with her family.   

Honorary pallbearers are: Kayla Lollar and family, Alabama Hospice Care nurse: Penny Threadgill, great-grandchildren: Jordan Driver, Christian Burnett, Parker Dodd, Will Fisher, and Holden Frost, and all nieces and nephews. 

Active pallbearers will be: Jamie Hudson, Garrett Jamorski, Brantley Hudson, James Hudson, Zack Keeton, Tommy Bonner, Andrew Hudson, Brandon Owens, Randall Kelly, and Steven Underwood.
