Jerrell Aldridge

Mr. Jerrell Aldridge, age 81 of Bankston, passed away January 4, 2022 at Fayette Long Term Care.

Jerrell was born in Fayette County, Alabama to Coy and Cora Aldridge on October 5, 1940. He attended and graduated from Hubbertville School. Jerrell was a Sergeant First Class when he retired from the Alabama National Guard in October 2000. Jerrell served his community well by being president of the Berry Athletic Booster Club, serving on the  Fayette County Commission and being president of the Fayette County Cattleman's where he was elected Cattleman of the Year in 2011.

He was a member of Bankston Church of Christ for many years until moving to the Fayette Church of Christ. He enjoyed bluegrass music, running deer and coon dogs, farming, Alabama football, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2-P.M. from Fayette Church of Christ. Burial will follow in New Liberty FWB Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1-2 P.M. at the church. Kaleb Hall and Caleb Aldridge will officiate.

Survivors include his wife: Miriam June Aldridge of Bankston, sons: Scotty Aldridge (Penny) of Bankston, Landon Aldridge (Alicia) of Bankston, daughter-in-law: Susan Aldridge of Fayette, grandchildren: Jacob Whitehead (Brandi), Lyle Aldridge, Alex Aldridge (Alexa), Caleb Aldridge (Ashton), Samantha Herron (Dawson), and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Coy and Cora Aldridge, brothers: James and Jacob Aldridge, and son: Brian Aldridge.

Honorary pallbearers will be: DCH Home Health Care, Dr. Fred Yerby and staff, Debbie's Drugs and staff, Fayette Long Term Care staff, and Dr. Rob Bolling and staff.

Active pallbearers will be: Brent McCaleb, David Sands, Jordan Aldridge, Judson Aldridge, Jarred Aldridge, and Randy Aldridge.
