Mrs. Jane Hindman, age 86 of Fayette, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 12-P.M. from Belk Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state Tuesday from 11 A.M. til 12-P.M. at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Reece and Florence Tate Henderson.
Survivors include her husband: Lewis Hindman of Fayette, son: David Hindman (Robbie) of Fayette, grandsons: Rob Hindman of Fayette, and Zac Hindman (Keri) of Northport, great-grandchildren: Reece Hindman, Ella Kathryn Hindman, and Jacob Hindman all of Northport, brother: Sam Henderson (Helen) of Fayette, sisters: Sarah Simmons, and Pat Moore (Larry) both of Fayette, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jane was born in Pickens County. She was married to Lewis Hindman for 68 years. They were blessed with their son David, daughter-in-law Robbie, their two grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Jane worked at Georgia Pacific for 23 years. She was a member of Belk Freewill Baptist Church and was the church treasurer and played the organ. Jane loved her Lord, her family and her church family. She was loved by so many and will be missed.
Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. Fred Yerby, Buddy House, Phillip Carroll, Ralph Carroll, Don Byars, and David Glasgow.
Active pallbearers will be: Rob Hindman, Zac Hindman, Reece Hindman, Steve Simmons, Randy Simmons, and Dale Hindman.
