Jacqueline Savage

Jacqueline “Jackie” Savage was born on June 29, 1954, in Mobile, Alabama, to Jewel Taliferro and Gloria S. McConnell. She transitioned from this life on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Diversicare of Winfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel Taliferro and Gloria S. McConnell; her brother, Jewel Taliferro (“Scooby”); and her sister, Carolyn Ann Taliferro.

Jackie lived a life marked by love, quiet strength, and devoted care for those around her. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Fred Savage; her children, Latosha A. S. Walker and Fred Savage Jr. (Jessica); her brother, Rayford “Slick” Taliferro (Kathy); eight grandchildren—Evan, Eric, Alexxus, Alaijah, Fred III, Aliyah, Alyssa, and LaNisha; two great-grandchildren, Ladarion and Kasheus; her niece, Star Corden Taliferro; along with a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though she is no longer with us in body, we find comfort in knowing she rests in eternal peace, held in God’s presence. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 1-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bankhead Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12-1 P.M. at the funeral home.
