Jackie Kimbrell

Mr. Jackie Kimbrell, age 71 of Berry, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on State Lake Road. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Kenneth Bozeman will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Arnold and Estell Feltman Kimbrell, and a sister: Barbara Ann Aldridge.

Survivors include his wife: Martha Kimbrell of Berry, son: Marty Kimbrell of Berry, daughter: Leandra Smith (Heath) of Berry, brothers: Ricky Kimbrell (Elizabeth), and Dwayne Kimbrell both of Berry, sister: Betty Scoles (Larry) of Carbon Hill, three grandchildren: Haley Kimbrell, Tyler and Ashlyn Smith.

Jackie was a loving person. He would help anyone in any way he could. He loved all his family but his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Jackie worked at Arvin for 32 years, and retired when the plant closed. He also loved to hunt and fish.

Honorary pallbearers are: Alan Kimbrell and Gene Sellers.

Active pallbearers will be: Tyler Smith, Will Knight, John Etheridge, Ricky Feltman, Randall Aldridge, and Shannon Aldridge.
