Jack Rickman

Mr. Jack Rickman, age 69 of Fayette, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Fayette Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 2-P.M. from Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12-2 P.M. at the church. Bro. Robert Parrish will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William Elmore Sr. and Eloise Rickman, and a sister: Joyce Wheat.

Survivors include his wife of 25 and a half years: Delilah Morgan Rickman of Fayette, two sons: Justin Rickman of Tuscaloosa, and Adam Rickman (Sarah) of Northport, brother: William E. Rickman Jr. (Sherry) of Fayette, sister: Wilda Rickman Pate (Clifton) of Carrollton, two step-sons: Nick Hodges (Nancy) of Fayette, and Jared Hodges (Ashley) of Northport, and seven grandchildren.

Jack was born and raised in Aliceville, AL. He was blessed with athletic abilities, starting at a young age, Jack played many sports which led to recruitment to play football for Mississippi State University as a punter, graduating with an education degree. He was honored as an All State in football. Jack was HR Manager at Fruit of the Loom, then on to Home Depot of Tuscaloosa as HR Manager. Jack was blessed with two son, then he met and married Delilah and got two more sons that he loved as his own. He was blessed with seven grandchildren. Jack and Delilah have just celebrated 25 years in December. Jack was a devoted Christian man, loving son, husband, brother, and grandfather who loved the Lord and enjoyed serving his church and community.

Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. Tyler Eads, DCH wound care, Fayette Medical Homecare, Kellen and Avery Hodges, Cory Rickman, Ava Rickman, Maggie Rickman, and Ellie Rickman.

Active pallbearers will be: David Pate, Charlie Pate, John Pate, Blake Pate, Bill Rickman, Bob Rickman, Reese Hodges, and Jason Nelson.
