Hugh Watkins

Mr. Hugh "Hootie" Watkins, age 66 of Fayette, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 1-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12-1 P.M. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Milford and Vaudie Mae Watkins, wife: Janet Watkins, and a sister: Lisa Porter.

Survivors include two sons: Michael Watkins and Casey Watkins (Amanda), one daughter: Stacey Watkins, three brothers: Wayne Watkins (Patricia), Randy Watkins (Jewell), Darrell Watkins (Tamala), two sisters: Teresa Pendley (Ken), Karen Matthews (Kenneth), and six grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are nieces and nephews, Jimmy Black, Jimmy Avent, Robert Johnson, Bryan Williams, Andrew Pattel, and Don Collins.
