Hubert Dwaine Davis

Mr. Dwaine Davis, age 75 of Fayette, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 1-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12-1 P.M. at the funeral home. 

Dwaine was born on October 29, 1948 to Charles Hubert Davis and Eula Mae Perkins Davis of Lamar County. He married Willa Dean McDonald of Glen Allen on July 3, 1971. They shared 53 years of marriage together.

Dwaine enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. He loved spending time with his family and friends, always offering a helping hand to everyone. 

Survivors include his wife, Willa Dean Davis of Fayette, brother-in-law, David Collins of Kennedy, sister-in-law, Anna Rogers (Greg) of Millport, and brother-in-law, Jerry McDonald of Fayette, he is also survived by an uncle and aunt, several nephews and nieces who he considered his kids, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, J.L. McDonald, sister-in-law, Donna McDonald Collins, brother-in-law, Gary Watkins and sister-in-law, Nancy Williams McDonald.

Honorary pallbearers are: VA Doctors and Nurses, All in the Family Caretakers and staff Center Well Wound Care Nurses.

Active pallbearers will be: Justin Watkins, Tyler Watkins, Chuck Collins, Cal McDonald, Jim Ayres, and Terry Taylor.
