Henry Trimm

Mr. Henry Trimm, age 78 of Birmingham, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at UAB Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Housh Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1-2 P.M.at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife: Diane Idele Trimm, son: Bradley Allen Trimm, daughter: Sondra Michelle Brown, brother: Herbert Trimm, sisters: Jane Smith, Margaret Taylor, Ruth Roberts, and 2 grandchildren: Sarah and Mary Grace Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ellis Aaron Trimm and Dorsie Lee Housh Trimm.

At 18, Henry joined the Navy and served in Vietnam. He met and Married his wife Diane while stationed in San Diego, California. After his service concluded in the Navy, they returned to Alabama and settled in Demopolis where he worked for Gulf States Paper and the welcomed their first child Sondra. A few years later they moved to Northport and Henry worked at Battles Auto Parts as a machinist. He worked at several automotive dealerships in service, and service management capacities. In Northport they welcomed their second child Bradley. Henry soon went into automotive equipment sales with Sun Electric and Hunter Engineering. The family moved from Northport to Mobile to Montgomery and ended up in the Birmingham area where Henry became a residential home builder. Henry retired at the age of 62.
