Ginger SaraAnn Varnadoe Beasley, 45, of Northport, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 21, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. A beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend, Ginger's life was filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and faith.
Born and raised in Fayette, Alabama, Ginger graduated from Fayette County High School in 1998, where she was a majorette and a proud member of the “Pride of the Tiger Band”. Following high school, she attended Bevill State Community College on a Softball Scholarship, later transitioning to Cross Country. Ginger then transferred to The University of Alabama, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2003.
For 17 years, Ginger dedicated her life to teaching and working with students at both Columbiana Elvin Hill Elementary School and Huntington Place Elementary School in Northport, Alabama. She was known for her kindness, patience, and passion for her students' success. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devout member of the Northport Church of God, where she shared her love for the Lord through song as a member of the church choir.
Ginger was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Dora Varnadoe, and her maternal grandparents, Jessie and Alvie Lee Poole. She is survived by her beloved husband, Shane Beasley, and their two daughters, Karlie Beth and Isabella Beasley. She also leaves behind her parents, Darryl and Anita Varnadoe, and Wayne and Sandra Beasley; sister Kim (Steve) Colburn; brother Shane (Renee) Varnadoe; nephews Noah and Rivers Colburn, Pierce Varnadoe; niece Presley Varnadoe; and brother-in-law Heath Beasley. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, and many cousins who were dear to her heart.
Ginger was an exceptional person in every sense of the word. She was a talented decorator, with an eye for creating beautiful spaces. She had a gift for planning events that made every occasion feel special. Above all, Ginger cherished her family, especially her daughters, and made it her mission to create lasting memories with them. Every holiday was an opportunity for her to make magic, and her love for her family was unwavering.
To know Ginger was to love her. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her warm heart, joyful spirit, and deep compassion. Her legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to be part of her life.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. Bro. Greg Strickland and Shane Varnadoe will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 11- 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Heath Beasley, Justin Poole, Noah Colburn, Rivers Colburn, Pierce Varnadoe, and Alex Aldridge.
