Genilla Thornton Obituary

Mrs. Genilla Thornton, age 94 of Fayette, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Fayette Long Term Care.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 3-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pea Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2-3 P.M. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Marthelia Madison Kimbrell, husband: Ulyses Grant Thornton Sr., grandson: Ulyses Grant Thornton III, seventeen brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sons: Ulyses Grant Thornton II of Fayette, Garry Thornton (Charlotte) of Berry, one grandchild: Chasity Thornton Hollis (Rodney) of Guin, four great grandchildren: Haley Craig of Guin, Hanna Taylor (Cole) Vernon, Hallie Hollis and Haven Hollis both of Guin.
