Gaynell Johnston Obituary
Mrs. Gaynell Johnston, age 82 of Bankston, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Northwest Regional Medical Center in Winfield.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in New River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1-2 P.M at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Dale Johnston, daughter: Lydia Smallwood, parents: Verris and Emily Lowery Sawyer, brothers: James Thomas Sawyer Sr., and Hubert Terry Sawyer.
Survivors include her son-in-law: Mike Smallwood, granddaughter: Chyle Smallwood (Seth), grandson: Michael McWood (Leanna), brother and sister-in-law: Donald and Joyce Johnston.
