Garry was a simple man, laid back and a hard worker. He started surface coal mining for P&M and worked as a heavy equipment operator for several surface coal mining companies for 30 plus years, later on retired in 2021. If he wasn’t at work you would usually find him at home or down at his garage doing mechanic work, he enjoyed working on things. He also enjoyed turkey hunting, deer hunting, watching Alabama football and NASCAR in his spare time. If you knew him you knew he never had a lot to say he was a very quiet and private person. Him and Craig were as different as night and day.
He loved his family and friends very much and he made lots of wonderful memories throughout his life. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He is now at rest in his heavenly home and finally reunited with his Mama, Daddy and brother Craig. He will be dearly missed.
A special thanks to everyone at the Fayette Cancer Center and Amedisys Home Health of Fayette, AL for all there help during this time.
