Mrs. Frankie H. Walton, age 92 of Fayette, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025 at Moringview Estates.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
She was born May 13, 1933 to B.E. and Mary V. Hocutt. She eloped and married the love of her life, Alvin Walton, on April 8, 1950, and they lived a beautiful life of 67 years together working side by side on the family farm.
She is survived by her loving daughter: Wanda Smelley (Eddie) and granddaughter: Reagan Colburn (Russell Epperson). In addition she loved her special niece as a "second daughter, Candie Walton," special nephew and niece: Skip and Ruth Hocutt, who were faithful to visit her, as well as many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. She is survived by one sister: Judy Norman.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Alvin Walton, her parents: B.E. and Mary Hocutt, two brothers: Thomas Hocutt and Johnny Hocutt, and one sister: Billie Fowler.
Pallbearers will be: Skip Hocutt, Danny Herron, David Norman, Tim Ham, Robert McDonald, and Brent Mayfield.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Staff of Morning View Estates, Staff of Alabama Hospice Care of Jasper, and members of Pisgah Baptist Church.
She live a full, joyful life. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her heart was generous, and her love for family and friends was unwavering. Though we will miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing her warmth, strength, and spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
